So I'm A Senior, Am I?

Birthday is today.

Not sure what I'm supposed to think of it.

According to humans my birthday today makes me a "senior" cat.

Really not sure what I'm supposed to make of that.

Should I be offended?

Should I just take it all in stride and embrace my eighth year on this earth?

It seems like yesterday I was this itty bitty little kitten:

I remember when Maggie was just a kitten:

So many different places I have lived over the years:

Canby, OR
Aloha, OR
Vancouver, WA
Beaverton, OR
Oceanside, CA
Irvine, CA
Valley Center, CA

And that's just the cities I've lived in.  That doesn't include the moves within those cities.

It's hard to believe I've gone from this:

To this:

Well, here's to another eight+ years of eating, sleeping, and MEOWING!

  1. Happy Birthday, Mr. Wiley,
May you have many more. You sure have lived a lot of places. But I think you've done very well to adjust.
If you ever get tired of moving, you can always have a place in my horse barn. Not many lizards but plenty of mice, sometimes snakes (they aren't allowed to be brought into the house, though.)
    Enjoy your birthday party.
    Love,
    Grandbabka

  2. Now that you are a senior kitty, some advice, Mr. Wiley: Keep your ears open to certain key phrases from your humans, like "Maybe it's time to put him out to pasture" or "Have you looked into Independent Living situations?" or even "I think he's outliving his IRA". They all spell bad news for you.
