Hello everyone and welcome to the fine month of April!
I didn't play any tricks on my human on April Fools' Day, but the idea did cross my mind. I just didn't feel like dealing with the repercussions that it would incur!
I thought I would dedicate this post to my beloved lizards. They are the highlight of my walks everyday! They're better than birds because they're on my level (the ground), and although I've never caught one I've gotten alot closer to catching a lizard than a bird!
I've seen two types of lizards out here. First up, one of the most commonly seen lizards in Southern California:
It is a Western Fence Lizard.
Second up is Papa Lizard. I haven't seen him since last year. Perhaps he'll show up when the weather warms.
He is a Southern Alligator Lizard.
As fun as lizards are to chase, they are very difficult to catch! They can hide just about anywhere from under rocks:
To behind siding:
Underground:
You name it, they can probably hide there!

All this talk about lizards is going to lead to lizard dreams tonight!
Catch ya later!
Hi Wiley,
ReplyDeleteI sure enjoy your posts, especially when I have had a long week of proofreading. I worked on Wii and DS Nintendo games. You and your human would love these. Have fun with your lizards and please don't bring any in the house!!!
Pretty Girl sends her meows.
P.S. How is your human's container garden coming along.
Hi Wiley,
ReplyDeleteGrandbabka here....those lizards are cool looking, especially the one with the really long tail. I haven't seen many lizards around here, but the snakes should be out soon.
I'm getting ready to go to a Salem Red Sox baseball game so you have "sweet lizard dreams" and hope they are so good that you sleep ALL night.
Love,
Grandbabka
Say, Wiley....when I woke up this morning (I guess it was after dreaming) I had a thought......I think you should write a children's book about the lizards and include those pictures that you have in this post. The descriptions and pictures are so good. So, I guess now all you need to do is find a "sponsor". I don't know how that works but I think it would be a best seller. You could also include the information on the breed of cat that you are because that in itself, is very interesting. And, please don't forget GrandBabka when it becomes a best seller!
