The Cultivation of Catnip

Hello, fellow readers!

It is getting to be a balmy 85+ degrees today so I decided it was the perfect day to take part in the cultivation of my own catnip!  I've had the dried stuff before but what could be better than your own fresh homegrown catnip?

The first thing I did was get all my supplies together starting with the container:

Maggie helped!

Then the soil:

Seeds:

All together:

Then I filled the container with soil:

Then I got really tired:

Here is the finished product:
Now it is up to my human to keep it watered correctly (I don't mess around with water).  If my catnip doesn't sprout I'm going to blame it on her.

All this gardening and blogging has made me really tired and I'm about to crash:

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. Hi Wiley,
You sure had a busy day. I'm sure your human will remember to water it, but if not, just keep meowing, that will get her attention!
It's still chilly out here, but good weather for planting spinach, peas, potatoes & anything else that likes cool weather.
Please keep us informed on the progress of your catnip.
    Sweet Dreams,
    Love,
    Grandbabka
