Shutdown

Well, my friends, it is about time I shut this operation down.  I'd like to thank all my loyal readers for their support and advisement over the past eleven months.  It's been alot of fun but I'm going to get back full time to what I do best.  That being eating, sleeping, and meowing.  After eight years of captivity, I am finally free and have no more grievances to convey on a blog.  I thought I'd leave you with this photo of my paw in the sand:

Once again, thank you to my readers!

Take care and happy trails!

Photos That Didn't Make It Into The Blog - Part Three

Good morning, friends and welcome to the final installment of my Photos That Didn't Make It Into The Blog series!
Is that Wiley in the above photo, you ask?  Yes, yes it is!  That is one of the very few photos of me when I was younger.  I was less than a year old in this picture!  Of course, not much changes around here.  Maggie and I always gravitate to the warm clothes fresh out of the dryer!
Here is one of Maggie looking cute:
Of course everyone wants to see me in my camoflauge again!

Maggie is happy that her tall human is home!

Just relaxing and watching the television!
A photo of me and Maggie when she was a kitten!

And a recent one of me walking through the barn at my new home.  Notice anything different?
I'm not wearing a leash!!!!

Lastly, if you can believe it, I'm taking a walk with a dog!!  I'd also like to point out that I'm not wearing a leash in this photo either!!  FREEDOM, people, FREEDOM!

Photos That Didn't Make It Into The Blog - Part Two

I'm back with more photos to share!

Starting with me and my short human.  I think she had just finished watching some ice skating or something and thought she could twirl me around.
Next up, helping my tall human get his service uniform ready!
Another one of Maggie sleeping:
Yum!  Cake!
The third and final part of this series, coming up next!

Photos That Didn't Make It Into The Blog - Part One

Hello, friends!

Due to recent events I'm sure one can surmise that my blog will inevitably be coming to an end.  But before that fateful day there are some photos I'd like to share with my readers that haven't made it into the blog!  Starting with me on the telephone!  I tell ya', you can't get me off that thing once I get started!

 Relaxing in a drawer:
Here is one of Maggie sleeping with all her friends:

And taking a break for a refreshing drink:
Here is another one of myself from when I graduated high school:
I'm so thin!  Lastly, Maggie taking a nap!
Stop by again soon for part two!

My New Home

Good evening, friends!

Although I have had a bit of a hard time adjusting to my new home, I'm finally settling in.  I've gotten used to my new human, another cat:

  A DOG, and horses:
Until now I've only seen horses on the television!
I've been able to find a lot of new places to explore:
 And a new viewing window:

Hope all my readers are doing well!

Belated Thanksgiving

Good afternoon!

Although this is a very belated post, I hope all my readers had a great Thanksgiving!  I started off my Thanksgiving by taking a walk with my new human.  I began my meal with some greens:

Thank goodness my new human eats animals!  We had chicken for Thanksgiving!
Maggie had salmon:
We had full bellies, indeed!  Coming up, I have even more pictures I'd love to share with my readers!

Life Changing News

Exciting news on the Wiley homefront.

But first, I must apologize to my readers for leaving them in such suspense!  My internet connection has been down the past four days!  Anyway, on with the news:

After much thought my humans have made a life changing decision on both my part and Maggie's.  It turns out I'm not going to be a Buckeye.  I am going to be a Virginian.  You see, my human Grandma lives in a small house in a barn in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia.  It has been decided that I'm going to live with my human Grandma and that, because of the location, eventually I will be able to go outside.  On my own! Can you spell F R E E D O M?! No more moving, no more motel 6's, no more long drives through the desert without air conditioning!  After living at ten different addresses in four different states I think it is about time I retired.  After all, I am now a senior cat, I need some stability in my life!

I am very proud of my humans for making this selfless decision.  Although my short human has said this is permanent, I fear she will come steal me back in the middle of the night.  She said she really misses me.  Humans get so attached!  I don't understand it!

Move #10 is the final move, my friends!  (For Maggie and I)  I am very excited and will keep my readers informed as this story develops!  I also have a very belated Thanksgiving post coming up!

The Road Trip - Part Two

Hello, fellow blog readers!

Here is a link to PART ONE of my road trip if you missed it!  Now on to part two!

As I said, we stayed at some very interesting places!  The best part was that all of the places we stayed at had excellent viewing windows!
It is where Maggie and I spent the majority of our time (other than speeding down the road at 80 miles per hour!)
That is Maggie's tail in the above photo!

When we tired of the view out the window, we took naps:

All that traveling made us tired!
Or sometimes we just hung out in all the nooks and crannies we could find:
It was a long trip, indeed!

Lastly, I have some life changing news to share with my readers in my next post, so stick around!

Happy Thanksgiving

I just wanted to say Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers!

The Road Trip - Part One

Hello, friends!

I hope everyone has been well the past few weeks!  I apologize for my hiatus from blogging but it has been a long journey!

I'm glad we finally left California because my bed was slowly disappearing:

The following photo shows where Maggie and I rode for the entire trip!  The back of the truck!  It is a camper top and my humans left the windows open a crack for air.  It was like a huge cat carrier!  I hate those small ones that I can barely turn around in, so I'm glad my humans were able to supply better accommodations!

We had our bed, pillows, a bowl of food, our restroom and everything back there!

Thank goodness we were going across country on the government's tab because my humans told me that otherwise they would have made me camp!  Me, camping?  I don't think so!  We stayed at some interesting places on the way:

It is great to be back my friends and I'll be back next week with Part Two of the Road Trip, including more pictures!  See you next week!

Advisement

Hello, friends!

With all the excitement going on, of late, I've been feeling a little crazy!  I've been racing around the house, chasing my tail:

When you're in the confines of four walls, anything out of the ordinary is exciting!

But first, I'd like to thank all my readers for the great advice given in my worries and concerns post!  From wearing booties to keep my toes warm, drinking bottled water in lieu of having access to my water fountain to hiding lizards in boxes!!

With all this moving and shuffling of items going around there are allegations flying left and right!  If you didn't see my recent post please check it out!  I repeat, I did not do it!!

Recently, with all the moving of items, Maggie and I have been able to access places we couldn't before!  Such as the top of the desk:

Top of the refrigerator:

Top of the cabinets:

Inside the dresser:

There's been so much running around that after a day of packing I was so tired I just fell asleep in the closest patch of warm sun!

On the downside, my humans took my bed away so I've had to resort to sleeping on the floor:

And drink stagnant water from a bowl:

My time here in California is coming to a close, my friends!  In a few days I'll be taking the longest road trip of my life!

Catch ya' later!
