Good morning, friends!
I hope everyone is enjoying their Tuesday morning! I have some very important news to share with my readers today!
Having been around these large brown boxes for the majority of my life, I know very well what their presence means.
Move #10 is in full swing, my friends! Although I am always up for more adventure and travel, a little bit of worry and anxiety comes with it, as the following photo shows:
My tall human has a new assignment that is bringing us nearly 2500 miles across the country! This will be the fourth state I have lived in! I do have some concerns, in relation to the move and our destination, that I'd like to share with my readers in my next post. In the meantime, I'm busy helping my humans box up the house again!

The Great Escape
I finally did it.
I made an attempt.
Albeit a definite failure, but an attempt.
The door was left open...unmanned in my opinion... I made the executive decision to make a run for it. I took off through that door as fast as my little legs could carry my 16.5 lbs. I knew my humans were on me but I kept going.
I tired at the top of the hill and they were able to scoop me up and lead me back into my 290.75 sq ft shoebox/prison.
But I tried. For the first time in all my eight years I made a run for it. I'd never tried it before. My humans often leave the door open temporarily for one reason or another and I idly stand by and gaze through that open door but have never made the attempt to escape. Today just seemed like the day and I went for it. I guess it is back to the 'ol leash and collar for me....for now.
As I said, I was unsuccessful but that brief feeling of freedom was exhilarating. I suspect more Wiley adventures in my near future. Just don't tell my humans....

Is This The Antser?
Hello, friends!
It looks like we survived the great blackout of 2011! As a cat, the only reason I knew things were out of the ordinary is because my water fountain went from this:
To this:
Anyway, what I wanted to talk about today is the fact that, out here amongst the avocado groves, we have a HUGE problem with ants.
The ants have a taste for my food.... We've tried just about everything to keep them out of there but they just keep coming back! My humans were going to be out of town for almost two weeks and knew they had to come up with a solution to this problem!
Enter:
My humans bought this for me and Maggie a couple of months ago and put it to the ultimate test when they were gone for almost two weeks!
Here is a picture of the two piece unit:
On the left is the moat and on the right is the platform that fits over the moat.
Here are the supplies you'll need:
Water and approximately One Tablespoon of dish washing liquid.
Here are the directions that came with the unit. A lot of words but don't let that deter you!
HELPFUL HINT: Get your humans to add the water to lessen the risk of getting wet!
Here is the unit assembled and ready to dine upon:
Maggie is modeling for us!
*** Caution! Graphic images ahead! Stop reading at this point if you are at all squeamish about death!***
Upon the return of my humans, two weeks later, this is what the inside of the unit looked like:
Although the ants got into my extra stash of cat food that wasn't completely sealed, the human's sugar container, almond butter and cereal, and there were freeways of ants speeding through the entire house my food was virtually untouched by ants!
Is this the Anster? I think so! I give it two claws up!
This is a product review of a product I really like and I was not paid by the company to review this product. My tall human bought it for me and Maggie with his own money. For more information and to order your own Antser please visit: The Antser Website
Now that the weather has cooled off, thank goodness, my meowing is back in full swing! I'm belting it out like there's no tomorrow! Have a great weekend, my friends and see you next week!

Maggie Is Gonna Kill Me
Happy Labor Day!
We've had a respite from the heat the past couple days, however it is set to return by Wednesday.
I'd like to welcome all my new readers and thank you for all your comments! As I've said before, I'm in the process of adding a reply button so I can interact with my readers better via the comment section! I know, I know, it's taking me awhile but I'm still learning to type with paws!
In lieu of my upcoming product review, check out these snapshots I captured of Maggie sleeping the other day!
I have a feeling she won't be too happy about me posting these photos of her on the internet!
I have a product review coming up next, I promise!
Thanks for reading!
