Tools That Simplify My Life
Hello everyone!
I hope you're having an outstanding weekend! During this post, I'm going to share with you the tools I use everyday to simplify my life!
Starting with:
A step stool to my food - In case you're wondering why I eat my food at such an elevated position it is because
a) I'm a cat!
b) It helps deter the ants!
This is off subject, but if you'll direct your eyes to the upper left corner of the above photo, you'll see a blue towel strewn across the bottom of the door. There is a small space between the door and the floor and my human puts the towel down (get this) to prevent lizards from entering the house!!! That makes absolutely no sense to me, so if you have any idea why one would wish to prevent that, please let me know!
The next tool I use everyday to simplify my life is:
An ammo can - I use this all the time to help me get in and out of bed. Maggie thinks she's too cool to use it but I keep telling her, "Wait until you're my age." After all, she is two years younger than I am. The ammo can ended up there entirely by accident but became so useful it is now a permanent fixture.
The following isn't really a tool but something fun I felt like mentioning. It was made by my human Grandpa.
I don't use it a whole lot any more now that my tall human hasn't been home to help me down. It's a long way down when you weigh 16.5 pounds!
Lastly, don't forget that if you entered my giveaway that means you're automatically a winner! Please send your address to wind2wings at gmail dot com so I can get your prize in the mail!

A Day In The Life Of Wiley - Part II
Hello!
This post is a continuation from my last post about a day in my life. To read the first part of my day please click here.
The rest of my day generally consists of the aforementioned three points in my previous post in a rotation. Meowing, eating, and sleeping. Depending on the day I'll start mewoing loudly again between 1200 and 1400 until I get my mush food between 1500 and 1600. I always hope to be fed before then and sometimes my human gets sick of my meowing and gives in, so it is well worth meowing for 2 - 3 hours if it results in me getting fed early. Afterwards, I nap some more:
I might eat some dry food for dessert if I'm still hungry and then sleep until bedtime. When bedtime rolls around and my human shuts off all the lights, I usually get up and start meowing loudly for awhile until she yells at me. I do this every night and it makes her really mad. I guess it is kind of my way of getting back at her for waking me up early in the morning with alarms and bright lights. Then I usually eat some more and finally go to bed!
I get up several times in the night to meow loudly, eat, make use of the kitty litter facilities (where I like to scratch my claws on the walls until my human yells at me) and meow some more.
That's my life, my friends! Whew! This is a long post!
But, as you can see, a lot goes on in a day in my life!
Lastly, because there are no losers here on Wiley's Blog, everyone who entered my giveaway won!! So, if you entered my giveaway please email me at wind2wings at gmail dot com with your address or PO box and I'll get the goodies (with some surprises thrown in!) to you by the end of the month!
Stop by next week for my post on tools that simplify my life!

A Day In The Life Of Wiley - Part I
Grab a cup of coffee/tea/viso or whatever you drink and sit back, my friends!
If my humans don't wake me first, I usually wake up between 0600 and 1030 and depending on the day I immediately start meowing. This isn't any kind of innocent mew mew kind of Maggie style meowing. This is straight up cat yowling. Okay, not quite that bad but I do let my voice be heard! I know where my leash and collar are kept so I scratch at them and meow.
When it seems like I'm not getting anywhere, that is when I have to pull out the big guns. And that is purring. Humans are suckers for purring and I can turn it on big time when necessary. I start purring loudly, meowing and rubbing on human legs. I don't believe purring has EVER failed me.
When we finally get to go outside it is great!!
If it is warm enough I like to roll around in the dirt or pavement. I love to roll on the pavement because it scratches my back:
Here are a couple of pictures from my recent walk. It gives you an idea of what it is like where I live and I think you will understand why I always want to go outside (unless it is raining). Which, much to my humans disappointment, is very infrequent here in southern California.
Sometimes I like to pretend I'm doing gymnastics on the balance beam:
My walk is usually followed by a nap. Nothing better than a nap after a long walk! If it is hot outside I lie on floor where it is cooler:
Then, I grab a bite to eat to fill the calorie deficit I created with my walk followed by either another nap or I start meowing for my supper! Tune in next week for part two of, "A day in the life of Wiley!"
P.S. If you haven't done so, please enter my GIVEAWAY! I've also sweetened the deal! He/she who wins will also receive various motivational stickers!

Human Baby Clothes Giveaway!!!
Hello!
I would like to thank all my readers from the bottom of my heart for helping me with my clothing dilemma!
Drum roll please!!
The winner is woodland camouflage!!!
With an overwhelming vote of 9 - 0 in favor of woodland! Not one vote for desert! Although I must say, several of my readers had a good point when they mentioned my tall human has probably seen enough of the desert!
Now on to the giveaway! You may or may not have noticed that the shirts I wore are, in fact, human baby clothes!
If you or someone you know has a human baby between the age of 0 - 3 months (or is expecting one) I will be more than happy to send them your way (freshly laundered, of course!). In the event that there's more than one response I'll ship one to each of you and the unlikely event that there's three or more responses we'll have a random draw! And in the most likely event that no one responds, it will be tucked away in a drawer and my humans will probably dress me in it when they want a cheap laugh.
To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment on my blog or send me an email at wind2wings at gmail dot com! As simple as that and I'll get your human baby clothes in the mail as soon as my tall human gets home (end of May)!
Once again, thanks for everyone's response and get crackin' on entering my giveaway! It ends next Friday the 13th of May at 2359 (a.k.a 11:59 PM) PDT!

Readers' Help, Please!!!
Hello, everyone!
I hope the month of May is off to a good start for you!
I have something that I need my readers' help with! You see, my tall human is coming home soon from the sandbox and I wanted to show my support. My short human was able to acquire some camouflage for me and I need YOUR help in choosing which pattern I should wear for his homecoming!
First up, woodland camouflage:
Can you see me?
Second, desert camouflage:
Can you see me?
What I need from my readers is for you to comment on which pattern you think I should wear for my tall human's homecoming!! Please leave a comment in the comment section (or send me an email at wind2wings at gmail dot com) indicating "woodland" or "desert"! If you wish to remain anonymous, there is that option when making comments.
So,
Woodland?
Or desert?
I will let you know in my next post the choice with the most votes!
Thanks in advance for helping me out!
